Q 1> Do you still write checks? would you feel comfortable with not being able to write checks at all ? why or why not?
I would write checks unless they are absolutely necessary, now since online payments are way easier and cheaper, check writing really isnt advantageous at all. The transactions are done quickly when they are done online . The checks when written need to be transfered from one bank to another which is time consuming. Yeah i would definetly feel comfortable with not being able to write checks at all because online transactions are faster and unlike in checks they dont have to be crossed and there is no fear of check bouncing which is a criminal offence.

Q 2> List some advantages and disadvantages of traditional check writing for the consumer.
Advantages of check writing
1. It is one of the safest modes of transfereing money when the sum is huge as liquid cash transactions are dangerous .
2. If it is crossed , only the payee can encash it and nobody else.
3.It is a sort of an acknowledgement for having paid the money to the receiver.

Disadvantages of check writing
1. It consumers a lot of time for encashment.
2.If the check is lost without being crossed , then it could be misused.
3. Printing, transportation and processing of checks are an expensive affair .
